I installed these bags late in the fruit season to reduce losses due to varmints like squirrels and birds. Used them on apple, pear, and Asian persimmons.
Liked… there was almost no fruit loss from squirrels, raccoons and especially birds on the fruits protected by these bags.
…much happier with nonwoven fabric based covers like this. Am concerned about release of toxic substances (plasticizer, catalyst, polymer cross linkers) used to make plastic based (nylon, organza, rayon mesh, etc) bags. These constituents are always slowly released from all plastics and this is much accelerated by sun exposure.
Disliked… it was very time consuming to bag 200 or so fruits. If I do this on more fruits, starting earlier in the season, it will be even more work. But if this prevents insect damage without using chemicals, then it’s worth the effort.

I wanted to limit my use of plastic packaging so I purchase these non-woven bags. They may cost more than plastic but I think they’re worth it.
These are a nice size and they are perfect for what I need them for. While I won’t be able to replace all plastic in my business, I’m definitely using less, so I intend to purchase more.

I purchased these non-woven bags after a non productive year with my California peach tree. The birds and bugs ate them before we had a chance.
Not this year! I purchased them at the end of May when my peach tree started producing baby green peaches. I immediately wrapped each branch of this small tree and tightened the strings around the branch so the bugs could not get in. After 3 months, my tree produced about 100 peaches. Every single one that was covered with these bags was bug free and very sweet. Even better than the store peaches. The ones that were not covered were either extended by bugs or fell to the ground and devoured by bunnies. The plus side to these bags is when the peaches are ripe and fall off the branch, the bags catch them and buy you time to get them when you get home from work. Sorry bunnies,birds and critters, no peaches for you!
We gave the peaches to friends and teachers and they raved. Get these bags ans enjoy your organic harvest!

I am using the product to protect my mangoes from the squirrels. They are destructive animals. The bags are quite sturdy and seems durable thus far.

I needed to protect my ripening grapes from birds and these bags were perfect… I am really pleased. Easy to slip over my grape clusters! I am impressed with the quality of these bags and after harvesting all my grapes, I have cleaned and stored them for next season. Excellent product!
